These natural formations look artificial, almost alien in their perfection, yet they are simply the product of explainable geological events which occur all over the world.

Up for sale is this neat fossil specimen of a Promicroceras planicosta Ammonite Fossil which is agatized. This piece was found in Charmouth, Dorset, England in Lower Lias Formation, Obtusum Zone.

Promicroceras species are commonly found in South West England, particularly along the Dorset coast.

Pyritic Promicroceras fossils are commonly found along the coast of Lyme Regis where they are well preserved in the Lower Jurassic (Sinemurian) Black Ven Marl.
