Didymoceras fossil from the Cretaceous of South Dakota, USA, are common fossils in Mesozoic marine sedimentary rocks.
Didymoceras is an extinct genus of ammonite cephalopod from the Late Cretaceous epoch. It is one of the most bizarrely shaped genera, with a shell that spirals upwards into a loose, hooked tip.
This specimen is great representation of the species as it spirals up very nicely. This specimen features horns which have been added making this fossil a composite.
The edges and points are of high quality with minor chipping and minor restoration work.
