The Brazil Fossil Fish is from the Santana Formation which is geologic Lagerstätte in northeastern Brazil's Araripe Basin where the states of Pernambuco, Piauí and Ceará come together.
This specimen is from the late Early Cretaceous and early Late Cretaceous about 112 million years ago.
