Parleidus Fossil Fish Madagascar

Up for sale is a lovely specimen of a  Parleidus Fossil Fish .

Parleidus is an extinct genus of prehistoric  fresh water predatory fish that lived in Lower Triassic Period around 250 million years ago. 

This fossil was found in a concretion and will come with both sides of the specimen. 

These specimens are becoming hard to come by. 

Each piece measures: 

Side 1:

4.1” x 1.8" x 0.4”  (104 mm x 45mm x 12mm)

Weight: 61 grams

Side 2:

4.1" x 1.8" x 0.4”  (104 mm x 45mm x 12mm)

Weight: 48 grams

This piece was found in Madagascar.
