Up for sale is this neat specimen of a fossilized tooth from a flying Pterosaur, known as Siroccopteryx moroccensis. This piece was found in Taouz, Morocco in the Moroccan Sahara. 

This fossil tooth is from the Cretatceous Age about 100 million years ago.

So far, Siroccopteryx moroccensis is the only named flying reptile from Africa. Narrow curved teeth were probably used to catch fish. Related species have been recorded from Brazil, UK and the USA.

This piece measures : 1.1 " x 0.4"  (27 mm x 11 mm)
